Visitors’ Moorings and Anchoring

As well as the Falmouth Haven Marina we have a number of deepwater moorings allocated for visiting yachts and an anchorage area. The moorings are located adjacent to the main channel – the anchorage area opposite Falmouth Docks.

About the Visitors’ Anchorage

An anchorage area, centrally located between Custom House Quay and Falmouth Docks is suitable for use by small craft in most conditions. Harbour Dues are payable and please be aware that if you choose to anchor up, you may need to relocate to enable the movement of commercial ships in and around the docks, sometimes at short notice.

For this reason please take note that:

  • All vessels that anchor must have a working engine
  • Contact details must be provided to one of the Falmouth team in case of any shipping movements that require your vessel to be moved at short notice
  • Please do not leave your craft unattended at the anchorage overnight

You can find out about planned shipping movements in the following ways:

  • Check the Notices on this website by clicking here
  • Contact Falmouth Haven on VHF Channel 12, call sign “Falmouth Haven”
  • Check the notice board at the Falmouth Haven Visitors’ Marina
