As you head into the sheltered waters of the inner harbour, Falmouth Haven lies to the South West.
It is a perfect location for departing to or returning from transatlantic sailing adventures, as a cruising port en route to France, Ireland or the Isles of Scilly – not to mention simply cove-hopping along the scenic Cornish coastline to Fowey or the Helford. In short, our position is tailor-made for cruising sailors, as well as providing a safe port in almost all wind and weather.
If you are unlucky enough to be stormbound, there are few better places to be held captive than here. Falmouth Harbour is flanked by Events Square on one side – home to numerous bars and restaurants and a major supermarket, as well as the National Maritime Museum Cornwall – and the start of the bustling and winding main street on the other, with seemingly endless shops and art galleries, including a good selection of handy retailers for sailors.
