Falmouth Bay Test Site (FaBTest)
Falmouth Harbour Commissioners have a lease with the Crown Estate for an area of seabed within our Statutory Harbour Authority Waters in Falmouth Bay. This lease exists to allow testing of devices related to renewable energy devices or associated equipment.
Testing of Devices
The Falmouth Bay Test Site (known as FaBTest) is a Crown Estate leased site in Falmouth Bay for testing prototype, demonstrator, or experimental devices that generate electricity from waves, currents, or wind, along with related cables, instruments, and subsystems.
